Balinese People

Balinese population is about 3 million, it is a small amount of indonesian population. The visitor well know about the hospitality of balinese people. The people is very welcome with the visitor that make tourism grow into big industry.

However balinese people is live in harmony with the nature. They have organization of village, farming method and a well know art performing by balinese artist. The art has been introduce to young balinese from the earlier age. It makes the tradition is exist until now.

Originally, the balinese people come from java. It is an island at west of bali island. They came into bali in three period. The first waves of immigrants came from Java and Kalimantan in the prehistoric times of the proto-Malay stock. And then during the hindu period came the second waves. The third waves were came on the conversion of Islam period in Java.

Balinese culture reknowned on dance, painting, and sculpture. This artwork has become a part of traditional and religion life in Bali. This art used as complementary of the balinese ceremony or event. Balinese culture is a mix of Hindu Buddha Culture.

The Organization of the community called as Banjar, which belong to 50 to 100 families or more. In one village there will be some banjar depend on the area. Bali has famous farming organization named as subak. This organization has orginze the complex irrigation system in Bali. There are so many rice field in Bali. It need a good irrigation system.
